Intimate skin is thinner and more permeable than the skin on your arm, and it reacts to fragrance more readily. That is why our first product contains none at all — no essential oils, no parfum, nothing to react to.
If you are new to intimate oils, have sensitive or eczema-prone skin, or simply prefer your ritual quiet, this is the bottle to start with. It is also the one we recommend for patch-testing our botanical infusions against.
Most reactions to intimate-care products trace back to the same short list of ingredients: synthetic fragrance, essential oils, botanical infusions and dyes. Vulvar skin is thinner and more permeable than the skin on your arm, which is why an ingredient you tolerate elsewhere can sting here.
The Original is our answer to that. It is not a lightly-scented oil, and it is not an unscented base with herbs floating in it. It is three ingredients and nothing else.
| What sensitive skin reacts to | In this bottle |
|---|---|
| Synthetic fragrance / parfum | None |
| Essential oils | None — our infusions are separate products, at 1% or less |
| Loose botanicals and dried herbs | None. Floating plant matter adds friction, not benefit |
| Dyes, parabens, sulfates, mineral oil | None |
| Carrier oil | Cold-pressed grapeseed — light, fast-absorbing, low on the comedogenic scale |
If your skin is reactive, still patch-test: a drop on the inner arm, left for 48 hours, before the first intimate application. That advice holds for every product in this category, ours included. More on the routine in our guide to vulvar skin care.
INCI: Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Tocopherol (Vitamin E).
Cold-pressed grapeseed oil. No parabens, no sulfates, no mineral oil, no synthetic fragrance, no dyes. Vegan; not tested on animals.
Warm shower or bath; pat the skin dry with a soft towel.
2–3 drops between clean fingertips, warmed for a moment.
Massage gently onto the external intimate area and let it absorb.

Yoni oils are sold with a lot of promises. Here is the usual list, with honest answers against it.
| Common claim | Our answer |
|---|---|
| “Balances your pH” | No. Nothing applied to the outside changes vaginal pH, and a plant oil does not meaningfully shift skin pH either. |
| “Eliminates odour” | No. This oil has no scent of its own and no deodorising ingredient. A persistent change in odour is a reason to see a clinician. |
| “Tightens, brightens or rejuvenates” | No. A moisturiser does none of those things. |
| “Treats dryness, infections or menopausal change” | No. This is a cosmetic product, not a treatment. Those belong with a healthcare professional. |
| What it actually does | Softens and conditions external skin, eases friction after shaving or waxing (how it compares with ingrown-hair oils and serums), and absorbs without residue. That is the whole list. |
Yes — it is designed for daily external use. Perform a patch test before first use and discontinue if irritation occurs.
The Original contains no essential oils or added fragrance. What you may notice is the naturally neutral, faintly nutty scent of cold-pressed grapeseed oil itself.
No. Like all plant oils, it can weaken latex and polyisoprene condoms. Do not combine oil-based products with latex barriers.
12 months from the manufacture date printed on the packaging, stored in a cool, dark place.
On the outside only — the vulva, the mons, the bikini line and the inner thigh. Two or three drops on clean, dry skin is enough. Never inside the vagina: the vaginal canal maintains its own balance and does not need to be moisturised or “cleaned” with a product.
For most reactive skin, yes — fragrance and essential oils are the ingredients people react to most often, and this bottle contains neither. That does not make it universally safe: patch-test on the inner arm for 48 hours before the first intimate use.
Any product on intimate skin can irritate someone, and irritation can make an existing problem worse. Keeping it external, unscented and simple lowers the odds, which is what this formula is for. If you have symptoms of an infection, see a clinician rather than treating it yourself.
The Original will not: it is genuinely unscented, and the faint nutty note some people notice is the grapeseed itself. If you want a scent, our rose, vetiver, lavender and ylang-ylang infusions carry essential oils at 1% or less.
Yes. It is a plain, light plant oil — it works on hands, legs, cuticles and hair ends just as well. There is nothing in it that restricts it to one part of the body.
